GIVING BACK –
It has become so cliché to say “save the rainforest” and sadly, many organizations that have made this claim have not followed thru with their promises to send money where it is needed.
BAGŬS LLC is dedicated to educating kids, and finding real ways to assist in protecting the environment in Sumatra, Indonesia. Some simple ways that we can all help in this process are:
RESEARCH
Avoid products that have palm oil that is from deforestation and buy recycled toilet paper. Here is a link to the current palm oil Score Card for US companies to know which companies currently use Palm Oil from deforestation.
TOURISM
Travel to Sumatra or Borneo and see the amazing wildlife and discover all the beauty there. This supports business and creates jobs, which is what the palm oil industry has done for the people there.

EDUCATION
Teach our kids the importance of protecting this part of the world, about the amazing beautiful life all over the world. Currently miles and miles of rain forest are being burned to provide room for trees that produce palm oil.
The Sumatran rainforest is not only home for orangutans and elephants but an estimated 10,000 plant species, including 17 endemic genera; more than 200 mammal species; and some 580 bird species of which 465 are resident and 21 are endemic. Little is still know about many of these species and how they contribute to our world and the impact they have on our environment. Lets all work together to protect our world.
